Privacy, Copyright, Policies, and Such
This is the general policies area. I'll put information up here as needed.
It's pretty simple though. This is a website I've made for fun and fame. I want to be as good a citizen as possible meaning:
- I will never divulge private, personal information such as email address or anything else without your prior consent. I might email you from time to time, though this will be opt-out-able or maybe even opt-in-able.
- I do not own what you post here. It's not entirely yours, though, since you're putting it up on a public site. I'm also not responsible for what's posted here. I'm just providing a mechanism.
- I am the sole determiner of appropriate content for the site meaning that I reserve the right to edit and/or delete posts. If anything is changed, a history will be kept so anyone can audit my actions. But, I'm pretty lax. Inappropriate content isn't very much. And, really, the ideal situation is that the community would be able to deal with whatever is posted anyway. I don't think I would ever delete anything, I might just move the content and replace the original with a warning or some other indicator of what the content is before anyone looks at it. And, at some point, there may be some community filtering and such in which case those users would also have some say in determining how information is displayed. No one else will have hte power to edit or delete other people's content though. Unless this site becomes incorporated or some such thing in which case "I" becomes the company or whatever. But corporations are lame. And this site isn't going anywhere. So this probably isn't of the utmost concern to anyone. I just like to be thorough.
- Anyone named Myrtle is immediately deemed awesome. This cannot be disputed.
- If you use material from this site, you should credit the author of the material. I'd also like to be mentioned since I rock.
- I'm inclined to allow scraping and such unless it becomes an issue. This could change.
- Please don't suck. That would be lame.
